“Kyrie eleison” is a Greek phrase meaning “Lord, have mercy.” It is usually heard and used during a Christian method of worship called a Mass. In this setting, it is usually the beginning and end of a three part phrase, being split by the phrase “Christe eleison” which means, “Christ, have mercy.”
Musical groups at Bryan College will present Kyrie Eleison, a concert featuring a variety of settings of the prayer Lord, Have Mercy, on Friday, April 27, 7:30 p.m. in Rudd Auditorium.
