Robert Cailliau (born 26 January 1947) is a Belgian informatics engineer and computer scientist who created the first web browser for the Mac. He also designed the historical logo of the WWW, and organized the first International World Wide Web Conference at CERN in 1994.
Robert Cailliau is a successful Belgian engineer known for his companionship with Tim Berners-Lee on the World Wide Web creation. His book How the Web was Born: The Story of the World Wide Web was published in 2000. He received the ACM Software System Award and the Order of Leopold Award.
